Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is processed either by physical or chemical refining which subsequently produce RBDPO or NBDPO (refined/neutralized, bleached, deodorized palm oil). These are further subjected to fractionation to achieve liquid olein and solid stearin fraction. For edible oil processing, dry fractionation is a widely used methodology as it is most economical. This unit will be used to heat Palm oil using steam.
Vitherm welded heat exchanger will be used mainly in the pre-heating, economizer and steam heater section of the plant. We were awarded this project as Vitherm is the only heat exchanger in Palm oil industry without any leaking history as compared to the competitors.
