Palm oil, in its crude form (CPO), undergoes processing through physical or chemical refining to produce refined/neutralized, bleached, deodorized palm oil (RBDPO) or neutralized, bleached, deodorized palm oil (NBDPO). These refined oils are then subject to fractionation to obtain liquid olein and solid stearin fractions. Among the fractionation methods, dry fractionation is widely employed in edible oil processing due to its economic feasibility. The proposed regeneration unit will be dedicated to heating palm oil during the process.
