Vitherm replaces Shell and Tube by WeldPack® Welded Plate Heat Exchanger for district heating in Paris
In this order, Vitherm’s WeldPack® will be used to heat water up to 90°C, which in turn used to heat apartments and offices. In comparison for both technologies, welded plate heat exchanger and shell and tube heat exchanger, the former will require only 25% of the footprint as compared to the latter. On areas where space is a main constraint or costly, the technology conversion to plate heat exchangers is highly beneficial. Vitherm has been developing several conversion studies in the past years.
